We are working with other members of the Glebelands Alliance to oppose the construction of a new primary school on a hazardous waste landfill site at the 'Glebelands', located in the St Julians part of Newport.
Other members of the Glebelands Alliance include Newport Friends of the Earth and the Glebelands Action Group.
The site was used as an uncontrolled landfill site between the 1930s and the 1960s. Many different types of industrial and domestic waste were dumped there, including asbestos, mercury, and PCBs.
